Welcome Dr. Michael Shao

We are proud to welcome Dr. Michael Shao to the Indiana Vein Specialists team! Dr. Shao joins us after practicing vascular surgery for 12 years at a community teaching hospital, where he was named Section Chief of Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Shao is a board-certified vascular surgeon and completed 9 years of combined training in a general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Chicago.

National Recognition

Dr. Shao is an expert on venous and lymphatic disease. His published articles and conference presentations have received national recognition from his physician peers.
