CARMEL, Ind. (March 29, 2022) – The Indiana Vein Specialists Cheer Zone at Midtown will return for the 12th annual Carmel Marathon Weekend on Saturday, April 9, 2022. In partnership with Indiana Vein Specialists, Midtown Plaza serves as the event’s official cheer zone location to watch more than 3,500 race participants run and walk through the streets and trails of Carmel, Indiana.

The Midtown Plaza sits on the east side of the Monon Trail, north of Elm Street, connecting the Carmel Arts and Design District to Carmel City Center. Introduced in 2021, the Indiana Vein Specialists Cheer Zone at Midtown proved to be a popular spot for friends, family and members of the public to enjoy the Carmel Marathon Weekend. A live stream of the finish line on the big screen provides spectators the opportunity to cheer on race finishers, with live music adding to the electric atmosphere. Nearby retailers at Midtown Plaza gives spectators easy access to breakfast or a post-race lunch.

Dr. Jeffery Schoonover and Dr. Joseph Spahr welcome all participants and their families to the 12th annual Carmel Marathon.

“We celebrate the commitment, effort, and preparation that brings you to the premier race in Central Indiana,” said Dr. Jeff Schoonover, owner and chief medical officer at Indiana Vein Specialists. “Special thanks to the Carmel Marathon team and their volunteers for the support to make this nationally recognized event happen. Welcome to our beautiful city!”
